Erin Forbes, DVM

Medical Director

Erin has been a veterinarian since 2014 and loves practicing in New England. She is particularly passionate about feline medicine, winning the American Association of Feline Practitioners award for excellence in feline medicine and surgery at her graduation. Erin also enjoys seeing exotics, especially chinchillas. She shares her house with a retired champion show dog, MBIS CH Ring of Fire, JW, or Ca$h, as he is known around the office, and his daughter California Dreamin’ (you can call her Cassie). In her free time Erin likes to play video games, especially Breath of the Wild, go for nature walks, and Watch Wheel of Fortune.

Ferne Arsenault, DVM

Veterinarian

Ferne was born in England where she spent the majority of her childhood in a military family. She moved to Williston, Vermont in 2005 when her father retired from the military. She attended UMASS, Amherst completing her pre-vet degree in 2017.  With her love of travelling and animals, Ferne completed two externships on her summer break with “Vets in the Wild” in South Africa and for “Hope for Wildlife” in Nova Scotia, Canada in 2016.   Ferne is a 2022 graduate of Ross University of Veterinary Medicine located on the Island of St. Kitts. She completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and returned to Vermont in June of 2022 to start her veterinarian career. Ferne has three rescue dogs, Atticus, Lucy and Blu; two of which she rescued while living on St. Kitts. In her free time, Ferne enjoys hiking with her dogs, working out, and cooking.

Julianne

Practice Manager / Veterinary Technician

Julianne graduated from the University of Vermont in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science. After working at a veterinary surgical referral center for many years, Julianne joined the MVAH team in 2012. Growing up on a small family farm in Colchester, she has cultivated a lifelong passion for animals. Along with her husband Chris and her two daughters, she shares her home with her miniature poodle Ronan; her cat Merlin; backyard chickens; and fish. In her spare time, Julianne enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, and gardening.

Leah

Lead Certified Veterinary Technician

Leah is a 2010 Graduate of the Veterinary Technology Program at Vermont Technical College. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been here at Mountain View since May of 2010. Pictured here with her “Baby Brother” Zon, an Orange Winged Amazon, she enjoys spending time outside, longboarding, reading, and doing any number of projects in and around her home. She currently resides in Westford with her husband and their Great Dane Asher.

Ryley

Veterinary Technician

Ryley is from Barre Vermont and graduated from Vermont Technical College with an Associates of Science degree from Vermont Technical College. She soon joined the MVAH team after graduating in 2018. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, swimming, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with friends and family, including her spunky dog Jӓger.

Bryer

Certified Veterinary Technician

Bryer is from Barre Vermont and has always had a love for animals. He started his education with two years at the University of Rhode Island for Animal Science. He then returned to Vermont and graduated from Vermont Technical College in 2018  with an Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology.  In his free time, Bryer enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and of course animals of his own. He has 5 dogs, 2 cats, and guinea pigs.

 

Alyssa

Certified Veterinary Technician

Alyssa, from Milton, Vermont, graduated in 2021 from Vermont Technical College with an Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician who joined the Mountain View team in 2021.  She didn’t decide until after high school to pursue the veterinary profession, and she hasn’t looked back since. She enjoys spinning, traveling, and listening to all different kinds of music. In the future, she hopes to continue her education studying either Animal Science or Zoology.

Emmy

Veterinary Assistant

Emmy moved to Vermont in December 2020 from the Poconos to further advance their lifelong dream of a career with animals. They have a background of several years working in an animal wellness and adoption center in Northeast Pennsylvania where they gained experience caring for many animals (mostly grumpy cats), veterinary medicine, and animal behavior and enrichment. You can usually find them curled up under a blanket with a mug of tea and a good movie/tv show on, or learning and creating whatever project pops into their head that day! They have a cat named Oregano and a bearded dragon named Calcifer.

Lucien 

Veterinary Assistant

Lucien moved to Vermont in December of 2020 with his partner and four cats. Prior to working at Mountain View Animal Hospital, he gained experience working as a kennel technician in a no-kill animal shelter in Pennsylvania where he grew up. He then spent a few months working in a grooming salon in Vermont before returning to his passion for veterinary medicine. In his free time, he can be found being used as a chew toy for his kitten Nebula, and spending quality time with his bearded dragon Calcifer.

Emily

Veterinary Assistant

Emily is currently a Veterinary Technology student working towards her degree and certification.  She has completed several of her clinical internships at MVAH, and has now joined the team as a Veterinary Assistant. She has two dogs: Bailey is a 5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and her new puppy Dakota is a 6 month old silver lab. She lives in Essex Junction and in her free time enjoys walking the dogs, shopping, and hanging out with friends..

Katelyn

Lead Client Service Representative/Veterinary Assistant

Katelyn was born and raised in Essex on a small horse farm and has a passion for animals. She has been fostering rescue dogs for 10 years. She and her husband have 5 dogs, a cat, 2 goats, 3 horses, and chickens. She has over 15 years of experience in the management of equine and pet retail stores.
